It is said that in January 1687, in the Belgian region of Mechelen, a drunk man thought he saw a fire in the tower of San Rumoldo and started to shout “Fire, the tower is burning!” But when the neighbours went to help, it turned out that the flames were flashes from a large red full moon.
WE UNCOVERED ITS SOUL
The nickname that the inhabitants of that region earned that day also gives the name to our client: “Maneblusser” (‘moon extinguishers’).
As the Mechelen firefighters had no work that night, at Ideliq we depicted one of them on top of the brand’s tap carrying a bucket full of beers and ready to celebrate the false alarm.
